Most ignition problems can be cured by fitting the correct NGK spark plugs and Magnecor leads or uprated/new coil packs, and avoiding all products that claim to have some 'gimmick' about them (don't take our word for it, read this article: http://www.magnecor.com/magnecor1/truth.htm). The combustion of the fuel is propagated by the flame front, which is affected by factors such as combustion chamber design, compression ratio, pressure, fuel type and fuel/air mixture; NOT by the temperature of the spark. The spark burns far hotter than the fuel, regardless.
In some instances though, a more powerful spark can be beneficial, mainly where very high revs are concerned and high octane fuels (think F1 rather than VTEC). In these cases we recommend fitting of a coil on plug, distributorless ignition system (as fitted on ALL modern high performance/race engines), alongside one of the high performance ECU's we offer to control it. These provide a spark at high revs that matches a spark at low revs, as produced by a 'normal' ignition system; due to the increased coil charge time. Needless to say, we can offer a solution to whatever ignition problem you may be having.
